BRLeather is a concept of my own that started a few years ago when I was looking for a holster type that was not available. I have been a sportsman and rifleman for many years and enjoy all things dealing with firearms and the shooting sports. I used to competition shoot when I was in High School and I have hunted large and small game since I was old enough to remember. I would consider myself a competent marksman with a rifle and have always liked pistol shooting, although I didn't own any handguns myself.
I slowly started to tire of hunting with only a rifle and decided to take up handgun hunting. My first purchase was a Ruger RedHawk chambered for .44 Magnum. I liked the gun and would definately recommend one to anyone who likes a strong, never-fail revolver. However, I couldn't achieve the accuracy I wanted with the revolver. After doing an extensive search, I settled on a TC Encore in 454 Casull. Any of you who own one of these modern-art masterpieces knows the potential that these handguns offer. But, and a big BUT, there just is not a good serviceable leg holster for these hoglegs. I decided I would make a holster to serve my needs. I made a couple early versions that had issues, but finally I found a pattern that I liked. I started using it and some friends asked, "where did you get that holster?" I told them that I made it and they asked me to make one for them. After these projects I had some leather left over so I decided I would make a few and try to sell some on an online auction site, (bet you can't guess which one?).
My endeavor started to be profitable so I decided to start making other holster patterns. I have had very good comments on my workmanship and quality. I will provide some of these comments below if you are interested. You can find the Customer Comments section on the main Holster page and view some of the holsters I have made and sold online. I will be continuing to update and include my pattern base as time goes on. If you have a specific holster need and do not see it listed on this site, send me an email and ask if I have one available. If I have a pattern or can borrow a gun to make a pattern I can make a holster!
Like I said, if you have any questions or would like to just chat about my holsters feel free to send me an email at BRLeather Email. I will do my best to monitor the emails and get back to you ASAP. I will list prices along with the holsters, but keep in mind that prices are always subject to change due to materials I have on hand and the detail of work you request. If you have any questions at all, send me an email.
Thanks for looking and I will be waiting to hear from you.
